Just fresh air for me...

11 days and counting. I (Tara) decided to take matters into my hands and kick my rather disconcerting, inelegant and frankly yucky 10 a day habit. While it is good enough for Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, it just isn't good enough for me anymore.

"How hard can it be?" you ask... think of a food that you love (e.g. salt and vinegar chips). Now think of that salivating response, and you'll have a glimpse of what it is like.

I laugh in the face of statistics that "cold turkey" has the lowest success rate, and marvel at the fact that it is actually easier to run at the gym now. For those who don't know, 1 July marks an indoor smoking ban in the UK.....

Bring it on.

While the cat's away....

May was a miserable month for the boys as they had to study for their CFA exam. In contrast, Em and I kicked up our heels and went jetsetting on the 2 long weekends. Our first weekend away was to Amsterdam for the Keukenhof (Tulip Festival).
I'm not sure if Emma will agree, but I think we went a little wacky on the weekend. See photo evidence.

So after settling into our kooky houseboat (which had a fake orange tree in our bathroom)

We went and enjoyed some tulips

And then went pinching statues bottoms. Enjoy this photo - I underwent humiliation to get it...

We also did very serious things like go to museums etc, but all in all had a lovely girly weekend filled with giggles.

Winter wonderland

Sleigh bells ring
are you listening?
in the lane
snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
we're happy tonight
walking in a winter wonderland

Despite the incredibly balmy winter (about 11-13 degrees most days) we had a very cold snap for 3 weeks or so. Were delighted with record snow falls... and Tara even had a kick about with a football in the snow with local kids on the way to work.
